Install the SchoolAI Chrome Extension for Google Education Workspace

If your organization uses a Google Education Workspace, an administrator will need to grant permission for each org unit to use the SchoolAI Google Chrome browser extension. Learn more about what the SchoolAI browser extension can do here.

To allow teachers to use the SchoolAI Chrome browser extension

  1. Google Education Workspace Admin portal

  2. Choose Security > Access and data control > API controls

  3. Under app access control, choose Manage app access

  4. Choose Configure new app and search for SchoolAI

  5. Select the SchoolAI app, then choose Continue

  6. Select Trusted in the Access to Google data section

  7. Choose Finish and Confirm

  8. You’ll be brought back to the App Access Control page. In the left menu, choose Devices > Chrome > Apps and extensions

  9. Select the Users and browsers tab, then choose the yellow plus button in the bottom corner

  10. Choose the apps icon (several squares). This will let you add a Chrome app by extension or ID

  11. Copy and paste the following ID code into the Extension ID: pgeoioaaakldfhommgfebemhpdimhmgm

  12. A popup will appear from the right. Make sure Allow install is selected. Make sure to apply these setting to any org units who need access
