The main menu has moved to a new home on the left side of the app. It’s the same SchoolAI you know, just with a cleaner layout so you can focus on what matters most: your students and your lessons.
What’s different?
Now everything you need to get around SchoolAI is tucked neatly onto the left side of your screen.
Unified experience: We’ve combined the "Original" and "2.0/Enhanced" apps. You no longer have to hop between the two app experiences—all your favorite tools, assistants, session history, and Spaces, all live together in one app with one menu.
Always fits your screen: Whether on your phone, tablet, or laptop, the sidebar stays visible, no matter how much you resize your browser.
Tip: If the sidebar feels a bit wide, just click the arrow icon to collapse it. You’ll get a wider workspace without losing access to your tools.

Main Menu
The main menu is your navigation panel on the left.
Feature | What it does |
Launchpad | Your home base for a quick start. |
Discover | Quick access to recently viewed Spaces and high-quality collections, including Everyday Spaces (Bellringer, Exit Ticket, etc.), Tools, Subjects, Favorites for any age, Seasonal, and Grade level starter packs. |
Dot | (Formerly "My Space") This is your personalized AI collaborator. Visit Dot if you need a collaboration buddy, have difficult questions, or want to build a resource for you or your class. |
Assistants | All the original assistants you know and love, including Co-teacher, Essay Grading Assistant, Research Assistant, Curriculum Coach, and more. Also includes a shortcut to your new all-purpose collaborator, Dot. |
Create a Space | Create an Original Space, or use the Early Access toggle in the settings menu to try the Enhanced Space builder. |
Tools | Easy access to favorites like Worksheet, Build Your Own, Lesson Plan, Multiple Choice Quiz, and more. |
Organize | Find and manage Spaces you’ve created and those that others have shared with you individually or with your district. |
Session History | Quick access to your most recent sessions and mission control. |
Community | Join our SchoolAI Community to connect with other educators. |

Say Hello to Dot
You’ll notice a new destination in your menu called Dot.
For our Early Access users, Dot is the new name for "My Space." It’s the same powerful, personalized environment you’ve been using, just with a friendlier name.
If you’ve used our Co-Teacher assistant before, you already know Dot. We’ve brought this AI collaborator to the forefront of the app so it’s always one click away whenever you need a collaboration buddy, a quick brainstorm, or a hand building a new resource.
FAQs
"Why change the location of the menu?"
We’re simplifying as we grow. This new layout lets us consolidate what were previously two separate app experiences – keeping what you know and love, all while making it easier to find what you want.
"How do I expand and collapse the menu?"
If you’ve collapsed the sidebar and only see icons, just click that arrow icon at the top again to expand it back to full width.
"What happened to '2.0 Beta'?"
It graduated! We’ve integrated those "Enhanced" features into the main app so you don't have to go hunting for them.

Admin ease: For our district admins, the organization switcher is easily accessible in Settings.
Accessibility: This new look is another step toward meeting the high accessibility standards that provide a more consistent experience for users of all abilities.
