SchoolAI recently updated their project on Google Console. Please follow the steps below to update the API controls in your google workspace to enable the teachers and staff to export content to Google Docs and Slides and to use the SchoolAI Chrome extension.
Steps to Update API Controls
Open Google Admin Console
Navigate to your Google Admin Console.
Access Security Settings
Select Security
Go to Access and data control
Choose API controls
Manage App Access
Select Manage third-party app access
Click Configure new app
Add the Correct SchoolAI App
Search for SchoolAI
You will see two client IDs
The new, correct one starts with 624
The old one starts with 664
Select the client ID that begins with 624
Click Add
Set App Trust Level
You do not need to modify or delete the app with the old client ID that starts with 664. Keeping it will not interfere with the new configuration, but it will no longer be useable.
If your teachers or staff are still receiving the error message "this app is blocked" after re-configuring your API controls, please reach out to SchoolAI Support for assistance.
