The SchoolAI Google Chrome browser extension gives you the ability to use SchoolAI on any webpage, allowing you to:

To install the Chrome extension

You can download the SchoolAI Chrome extension here. If your district uses a Google Education Workspace, you’ll need an administrator’s permission before you can use the extension. Learn how administrators can allow the SchoolAI Chrome extension here.

To use the Chrome extension

  1. Open to a webpage or Google Doc in your Chrome browser

  2. Select the puzzle piece icon on the right side of your URL bar

  3. Choose the SchoolAI icon. A popup will open on the side of your browser.

  4. Use the prompt space to generate what you’re looking for, or choose one of the suggested options. If you’re in a Google Doc, you’ll have options to choose a feedback type (formative, summative, or authenticity check).

    1. For summative feedback, upload your rubric or select standards

  5. Review and customize the AI-generated feedback

Why am I getting an error that says “access not configured” or “your organization’s admin needs to review SchoolAI?”
