Produce unique visuals at scale with AI, no artistic-ability required

Updated over a week ago

SchoolAI can produce images based on prompts you give. This helps you create unique visuals that may help you in the classroom.

SchoolAI can generate:

  • Visual aids: Templates and tools to help students visually

  • Custom illustrations: AI-driven images tailored to specific topics and illustration styles

  • Cover images for Spaces: Customize the Spaces you make with your own AI-generated image

AI is still getting the hang of things, so the following are examples of the type of images AI is not good at creating:

  • Images that include text

  • Crossword puzzles

  • Graphs or diagrams

Generate an image on a document

  1. Create a document, or find the document you want to add the image to by going to the Tool you used to create it. For example, if the document was a lesson plan, go to Tools > Lesson plan and select the document. You can also find documents in Tools > Recent Documents

  2. Press the backslash (/) key on your keyboard to open the options menu

  3. Choose the AI image tool and write the prompt with what you’d like to see. Use the dropdown to further customize the image style

  4. Select Generate image. You can edit text on other parts of the document while you wait for the image to generate

  5. Choose to Discard, Insert, or Regenerate

You can save the image to use beyond the document after you generate it. Right-click on the document, then choose Save as to save to your computer.

Generate a cover image for Spaces

You can customize your Space with its own image as you create the Space:

  1. While creating a Space, go to the Optional Details section

  2. In Cover image, choose Generate with AI

Your image will be generated based on the title of your Space. So if you need a more specific image, change your title.
