Understanding SchoolAI

Learn what SchoolAI can offer you and your students

Think of AI as a teacher aide—an assistant designed to help you accomplish more in the classroom. Generate lesson plans, brainstorm activities together, or ask for actionable student insights. School AI provides indefinite learning experiences to help you engage and connect with students.

SchoolAI can:

  • Save you time: You’ll have capacity to be more efficient and effective in teaching
  • Adapt to each student: Make learning more engaging and individualized with transparency into each student’s progress
  • Do the groundwork: Create lesson plans instantaneously recommended resources, activities, and quizzes based on the curriculum

Spaces

Spaces are student-centered, AI-powered learning experiences that you create and students interact with. Think of Spaces as an extension of yourself as a teacher. They allow each student to get individualized teaching and interactions at their own pace, tailored for their unique needs.

Applications of this tool are limited only by your imagination. Spaces allow your students to:

  • Chat with Fredrick Douglas, Leonardo Da Vinci, or other historical figures
  • Start or end the day with a topic and personalized conversation about the lesson
  • Follow a YouTube video and get commentary about the content
  • Work with with a subject tutor to ask questions about their assignments
  • Learn new languages or work within their own

You can design your own or browse our discover library to find a pre-made Space that works for your classroom. As your students work in the space on their own devices, you’ll be able to monitor their progress through sessions, a dashboard that gives you insight into their activity, content mastery, and even how they’re feeling that day.

No matter your comfort level with AI, creating Spaces requires minimal effort. Apply state and grade-level Common Core standards to your spaces with confidence, knowing your students won’t be able to knock the bot off-track. You can make your Space a sidekick, bellringer, or exit ticket to further contextualize the learning.

Tools

If you’re the type of educator who thinks administrative and prep work is as dreadful as a visit to the principal’s office, Tools can help. We designed SchoolAI to automate parts of the planning process, allowing you to focus on teaching while Tools handle the groundwork.

You can generate a variety of teacher-related tasks, creating documents and materials that are adapted for different grade levels, Common Core standards, and learning needs.

Some of our most popular tools include:

  • Lesson plans
  • Syllabi
  • Quizzes
  • IEP goals
  • Worksheets

Just like you’d give any resource a quick look-over before sharing it with your class, it's important to give your AI-created documents a final review and personal touch. That’s why we built a text-editor (with even more AI capabilities) into the process where you’re encouraged to edit and personalize the document. Your students know your style and approach, and a quick tune-up using our document editor ensures everything feels just right for them!

Assistants

Batman has Robin. Aladdin has Genie. You have SchoolAI Assistants.

Assistants are your digital go-to that make your lessons more engaging. Consider them your team of experts, ready to step in when you need to bounce ideas off someone.

Your team includes:

  • Coteacher: A ready-to-go assistant who can help you plan your day, inspire a lesson, or give you classroom management tips. It can handle any prompt and build on the answers it gives you. Ask it to write an email to a parent, then ask it to change to a more lighthearted tone
  • Field trip planner: A travel guide that Ms. Frizzle would envy. You can brainstorm ideas, make an agenda, or create a permission slip form
  • Common Core expert: Help alleviate the intimidation factor of Common Core State Standards. The Common Core expert gives you support by suggesting how to align lesson plans with state standards, assessing student progress, and more
  • Essay grading assistant: Like every good writing teacher, this assistant evaluates the work for various aspects like grammar, structure, argumentation, and clarity, and generates feedback accordingly. By using a rubric to provide detailed feedback, you’ll make sure feedback is impartial and based on expectations
