How Do I Edit Part of a Document?

Easily re-prompt or edit documents created from Tools

Select the Document to Edit 

• With a little prompting, the AI can create documents to simplify your life. These documents are often ready to use as they are. However, there might be times when you need to modify the document to fit your own or your classroom's requirements. 
• Select the document you want to modify from the tool it originated from.

Style and Font Edits

• You can edit your document in the same way that you would edit a Google Doc or Microsoft Word document.
  • This includes making adjustments such as changing the font, adjusting the layout, or adding bullet points using the toolbar at the top of the page.
    
    

Re-prompting Sections of the Document Using AI 

• Sometimes, you may want to adjust only a portion of the generated document by re-prompting. To do this, follow the steps listed below. 
  
  • Highlight the section of your document that you would like to re-prompt. 
  • In this example, I would like to adjust the task the students will work on during Independent Practice. 
    • Then click on the purple AI Tools button found in the top left of the Toolbar

• This will open a menu with options for editing
  
  
  
• Select Custom Prompt
  • A new prompt box will be inserted right into the document.
  • The original text is located at the top, and below, you can enter instructions for your new prompt.

• Enter your desired change into the Prompt box.
  
  
• Click on the Generate Text button 
  • You will be given a preview of the new prompt
  • If the new prompt meets your needs, select "Insert"

Adding Additional Text or Images

• Another way to add more content or information to the document is to type a Backslash Symbol (/). 
  • To do this, add a new line of text to the document and type the / symbol 
  • A menu will pop up with several options for making changes, including the ability to add AI-generated images directly into your document
