Inviting Students to a Space
Make sure your Space is all set up, launched, and ready to roll before inviting your students in!
Pro Tip: Sharing a Space with teachers works a bit differently than with students. Students won’t be able to use the same link that you share with teachers, so keep that in mind!
- Choose the launched Space or Sidekick you'd like to share with your students. You can easily find your previous and current Spaces in the Sessions tab, found under Spaces > Sessions
- On the right side of the Space dashboard, click the Invite button
- Share your Space using a Space Code that comes with a handy link! If you’ve got the integration set up, you can also easily share the Space to Canvas or Google Classroom
- Students who click the link will be taken to a secure website to participate in the Space, where they can enter their name and join
Students do not log into SchoolAI directly. Instead, Space Codes and Links are designed to facilitate easy access for your class to join activities seamlessly
Troubleshooting:
- If your students are receiving a Blocked Domain error, your school likely has the student domain blocked from accessing certain parts of SchoolAI. Using a Space Code or Link should not give this error, so speak with your school Admin or IT Department to ensure access is allowed. Ensure that the link you are sharing is a Space Code and not the link used to share Spaces with other teachers
- If you cannot see the Invite, Pause, and End controls in the teacher dashboard, ensure that the Space has not been already been Ended. You can only invite students to an active Space
